Prospect

Prospect is the artist's first institutional solo exhibition in Austria. Leykauf's research took place in the painting collections of the Graz Museum, the Neue Galerie and the Historical Museum. Reproductions of the paintings discovered there were greatly enlarged for the exhibition and presented in the form of panels in the space.

The artist combines the resulting walk-in image spaces with numerous video works and a series of framed (artist) portraits. These are based on reproductions of iconic nineteenth-century landscape paintings and were created using direct photographic exposure.
